Finishing up

Today's final missions consisted of the Empire State building, check, Veselka for pierogis, check, Financier Patisserie, check, Magnolia Bakery, check, Amy's Bread, check, the ongoing quest for a purse for Erin, check (it is Steve Madden), and last but not least FAO Schwarz, CHECK! Everything that we wanted to do we got to and more. It has been a quick little trip but really enjoyable. Hope it was mildly entertaining for you.

Walked around a little and were hoping to go to the body exubition, the place with all the different layers of real human bodies, but sadly it was too expensive. So we went to the mall on pier 17 and thought we'd visit the candy store but strike two it was no longer there. So our ever faithful fallback and second home, take a wild guess, Starbucks!

P.S. That was the costliest smashed penny I gotten yet :(

Natalie explain this to me....

MoMA........

The bad part of the MoMa (which consisted of most things)

The only truly good part!

Stop-in'

Saw Crumbs bake shop and had to stop got a red velvet cupcake and a sugar cookie, will let u know how it tastes later. Then back to our quest for a morning meal, hopefully bagel-ish. We decided on Europa cafe, decent. On to the MoMA, we'll se how long we stay there...

Subway mishap: Becca went to use her card but the turn style locked on her and so she tried it swipe her card again and it said just used. Since I had already gone through we tried to figure out how to get her in. Lisa figure ifthey both squeezed together they could get through if I helped push the revolving bar door, I just wish we could have taped it it was great.

Slowin' it down

We left the Gug. in a flash and moved onto the closest starbucks. There we met up with Kristen and her friend Sarah so we could have some social interaction time. Of course while there we had to get coffee (note: we have been to like 10 starbucks and sat in at about 4, I am sure that isn't a surprise to most of you). Then it was hard to figure out what to do. After many a suggestions were thrown on the table, many of which were shot down, we decided on Rockefeller center and NBC store. Though I have to say these activities required a little bit of walking in the freezing air. It was quite windy and the farther we walked the closer I felt I would face a cold gutter death. Our party shuffled through the store quickly and then it was off to Hallo Berlin a German eatery that Kristen had wanted to try (yes they had Berlinerweiss, but I don't want to talk about it because they were out of the syrup mix so they couldn't make it). Good eats, moderate service, and great company made for a nice evening. Then it was our curtain call, back to the hostel. Thank goodness for this little Brooklyn Natural store near our hostel that seems to have everything including hot chocolate, mmmm, as Lisa said the light at the end of the tunnel.

The Gug.
